Brian Abramson
LNHA | RCFE | MPA | P.A.S.R.S. | NPRA Member | Placement Expert
Brian has spent his entire career in the long-term care industry. Upon graduating from UCSD (BA) and while attending SDSU (MA with an emphasis in Gerontology), Mr. Abramson worked as an Administrator-in-Training at prestigious Seacrest Village in Encinitas. After finishing graduate school he started working as a Licensed California Skilled Nursing Home Administrator. He has operated nursing homes, assisted living communities and worked in the home care industry. Throughout his career he has been fortunate to work in a variety of different capacities including as a permanent Administrator, an interim Administrator, and as a roving trouble-shooting Administrator. While working as a permanent Administrator, his community won the company Facility of the Year award. Mr. Abramson is currently licensed as both a California Nursing Home and Assisted Living Administrator.
More About Brian:
Regulatory compliance and quality care are top priorities for Brian. He has successfully led his communities through many State and Federal Compliance Inspections. These include Assisted Living Inspections, Wound Surveys, and various State and Federal Annual Nursing Home Inspections. He also helped a skilled nursing community avert decertification. Brian draws on these inspection and compliance experiences when attempting to identify quality communities for his clients.
While working in this field, Brian experienced and heard about various negative experiences revolving around senior referral companies. Mr. Abramson found that most other referral companies were operated and represented by individuals that possessed virtually no long-term care experience. He also found the referral industry littered with conflict of interest issues and most of the other companies provided little added-value to their customers. Finally, serious customer service issues were identified.
Finding Home for Older Adults attempts to address and minimize these concerns with unique service plans for our clients, thorough facility inspection reports, and excellent individualized customer service. Additionally, Finding Home for Older Adults offers a wide range of services including assistance for those in need of skilled nursing care (a highly regulated industry), those in need of home care (an unregulated industry) as well as those in need of independent living and assisted living services.
From the Seacrest Village Newsletter: Brian was Administrator-in-Training at Seacrest Village, a multi-level Retirement Community Village in Encinitas California. He received training as a graduate school student by Pam Ferriis, the former Administrator and current CEO of Seacrest Village.
Finding Home for Older Adults is proud to be a preferred source of assistance for San Diego Jewish Family Services. JFS provides essential programs and services that enhance and strengthen the lives of children, adults, families, and seniors throughout San Diego County.
When he isn’t working hard assisting his clients, Brian spends time with his wife, a physician, and their three young children. He is active with various not-for-profit organizations, and also enjoys sports and exercising.
As a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) and a Certified Assisted Living Executive Director (RCFE), I have spent many years personally helping older adults and their families. Along with our Finding Home staff, I personally work with our clients to find the best senior living option to fit their needs. With our expert guidance, our clients can feel confident and have peace of mind with their decision.
Dan Berman
Director of Client Services | MBA | P.A.S.R.S. | NPRA Member
Dan joined Finding Home for Older Adults in 2018 and he brings an enormous amount of customer service, sales and management experience, which already has been a huge benefit to our organization. He initially became interested in helping the elderly as he grew up in a family who cared deeply for one another. He had great aunts and uncles who had no children of their own to look after them when as they reached their golden years. So, Dan’s parents made sure his elderly relatives could count on them for support when care was needed. When one aunt developed Alzheimer’s disease and she needed full time care and safety that could not be provided at home, Dan’s family placed her in a nearby Assisted Living community. They visited her as much as possible. It’s this degree of compassion for their elders his family instilled in him that gives Dan such a strong sense of caring, which is crucial to the trust his clients have in him and advocacy required as a placement agent for Finding Home for Older Adults.
More About Dan:
While Dan spent his early years growing up in San Diego, he’s been a permanent resident of Arizona for about 30 years and knows the landscape well. While earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1992 from The University of Arizona in Tucson and conducting his group ticket business in the Tucson market, Dan is quite familiar with Southern Arizona. Having spent most his career in the Phoenix market and earning his MBA from Arizona State University in 2003, he’s also very acclimated to Maricopa County. With his time spent traveling to areas such as Flagstaff, Prescott, Sedona and the Grand Canyon, Dan pretty much has Northern Arizona covered, too.
Coming from the Sports & Entertainment industry, Dan has many years of sales and marketing experience with various franchises including the Phoenix Suns (NBA), Arizona Diamondbacks (MLB), Disney on Ice, Cirque du Soleil and several other sports & entertainment franchises. He’s no stranger to entrepreneurship as he continues to oversee Group Tickets America, LLC, a group ticket sales company he created in 2008 to help venues and live event promoters boost their attendance with almost $4 Million in ticket sales since the business commenced.
